OUR DECARBONIZATION PROJECT | Episode 1- Thermal insulation to reduce CO2 emissions 🌍

ALTEO is actively committed to the environment and sustainable industry, thereafter its industrial transformation. As such, we have launched an ambitious decarbonization project, focused on several key orientations.

One of the first achievements of this project was to reduce our CO2 emissions and improve our energy efficiency through Thermal Insulation. This first phase is now complete.
We have implemented thermal insulation of decomposition tanks, transfer pipes as well as lagging of the Attack. ❄️🔥
The main objective of this investment is to limit heat loss during decomposition, a significant reduction in energy requirements for heating during dissolution.

The results enable us to reduce our gas consumption by 7,000 MWh per year, thus cutting our direct CO2 emissions by 1,300 tonnes each year. 🌱

This initiative is fully in line with France’s commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, a goal we share by actively contributing to the decarbonization of our activities, to offer you “a smart alumina for your daily life” !
